An Immersion in a Different Way of Knowing -- Through Heart and Body
Deepen and sustain the muscles you need to dwell in genuine hope. For leading in these times.
A New Way of Meeting Life as It Is
Even when feeling daunted, develop the alchemy of witnessing and turning discouragement into gifted way-finding.
A Hope Dojo is a sip of something else -- unique and transforming. The first hour is guided by Anne. It consists of a grounding exercise, a few simple body-opening moves, a guided immersion into the particular hope theme with carefully selected poems and music that will transport you and stir your deeper self. This is followed by free-flow reflective writing. The last half hour consists of optional sharing through which you can integrate what has come through you, and through others to carry you forward.
Each session focuses on a different aspect of growing genuine hope: witnessing what is; welcoming uncertainty, taking the long view, generating uplift, despair as doorway to real hope; bearing both grief and joy.
Signing up for the whole series will support you to get into a rhythm of stoking real hope.
Why Now?
Why now? Because too many of us are coping with the enormity of challenges we are facing on the planet by falling back on our old strategies.
How do you cope with issues like climate change, seemingly intractable injustice, ongoing conflict?
Do you:
get more pure: clean up your own act and live as purely as you can?
focus on the achievable: try not to think about it and focus your attention on things you can change?
scan more intently: scroll and scan looking for signs telling you how we're doing? And worry?
something else? What's your way of coping?
These strategies keep us small and limit our horizons of action and impact.
More and more, we are facing seemingly dire situations that have us either frozen in fear or on overdrive.
Are you limiting your people's possibilities with your own limitations in hope?
" Hopefulness is risky, since it is, after all, a form of trust, trust in the unknown and the possible, even in discontinuity."

The Hope Dojo allows me to connect with our inner beauty, and that it fills me with joy. It allows me to escape my daily routine and leads me to experience different states of consciousness, where I am more connected to my heart.
